Designed especially for teens 13-18, StepOne can help turn your savings into lots of firsts: your first laptop, your first iPod, your first car. Even a college education. Along the way, you’ll learn essential skills like how to save, use a checking account, develop credit and much more.

StepOne Perks

Open to Teens 13-18 years old

Just deposit $1 into your StepOne savings account, and you can enjoy all of the perks of the club.

Free Checking Account*

You’ll begin to learn how to manage your own checking account, from writing checks to balancing your checkbook. There is no minimum balance and no monthly fees.

*Any member under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian on the checking account.

VISA Debit Card

If you have a checking account and are 16 or older, you are eligible for a 1st Financial Visa Debit Card. Think of it like a checkbook and an ATM card in one! Purchases are automatically deducted from your account and are detailed on your monthly statement.

Horizon Scholarship Fund

Each spring, 1st Financial awards one graduating senior StepOne member a $1,000 scholarship. Interested? When the 2015 scholarship becomes available, you can pick up an application at our branch locations, or download one here.  Stay tuned for upcoming details!

Good Grade Award Program

If you have A’s and B’s on your report card, you can enter the Good Grade Recognition drawing. Twice a year, we hold a gift card drawing for qualifying StepOne members. Watch the newsletter, FYI: For Young Investors, for your next chance to win.
