Assistance for Members Affected by the Federal Government Shutdown

If your pay has been impacted by the government shutdown, you may be eligible for government shutdown assistance.

We are offering a 0.00% APR Government Shutdown Loan to 1st Financial members who are active government employees, active duty military and civil service and are not getting paid due to the Government shutdown.

We have developed a loan program that will help our members during this financial hardship:

  • Members can borrow up to 100% of one month’s net pay (verified by direct deposit prior to the shutdown)
  • 0.00% Annual Percentage Rate (APR)
  • No payments until furlough is over
  • Up to a 6 Month Loan Term
  • No fees

Members will need to have had their government payroll directly deposited into a 1st Financial account.

To qualify, you must be a current member of 1st Financial Federal Credit Union and be in good standing. Members must also be actively employed with the US government.
