Samsung Pay

1st Financial Federal Credit Union is excited to offer Samsung Pay to our debit and credit card users.

Samsung Pay is a safe and simple way to make mobile payments with select Samsung Galaxy devices, and it works at almost any retailer where you can swipe or tap your card. From the grocery store to the coffee shop to your favorite clothing stores, Samsung Pay is the only mobile payment service that works at the majority of U.S. retail locations by using magnetic secure transmission (MST) and near-field communication (NFC) to transmit payment information.

How do I set it up?

For Galaxy S6, S6 edge, S6 edge+ and Note 5, Samsung Pay will be automatically installed through a software update. Going forward, compatible devices in supported countries will have Samsung Pay preloaded when purchased. Open the app, touch ADD or, if this is the first payment card being added, touch Add a credit card or debit card. Align your card inside the frame to automatically detect the card number and expiration date and then follow the remaining simple prompts.

How does it work?

Samsung Pay uses proprietary technology that works with both Magnetic Secure Transmission (MST) and Near-Field Communication (NFC) to make contactless mobile payments. MST and NFC enable you to make secure transactions at virtually every card reader where you can swipe or tap your card.

Are my payments safe?

Samsung Pay transactions are authorized with your fingerprint and use a digital identifier instead of your card number. Even if your phone is compromised, Samsung Knox technology encrypts your card info within a separate, secure data vault.

Where can I use it?

Samsung Pay makes paying with your phone super easy. Plus, it works almost anywhere you can swipe or tap a card. See a full list of Samsung pay merchants here.

Paying in stores or within apps has never been easier.
