When opening an account, we will ask for verifying information that will allow us to identify you. Please have this information readily available. This information will include your legal name, birth date, social security number, address, and other critical information. Federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record identifying information for every person that opens an account. This law was put into place to help fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities.

Credit Report Consent:

By continuing with this application, you, and any joint owner, authorize 1st Financial Federal Credit Union to obtain a credit report as part of the online account opening process. If you do not wish to have your credit report pulled, do not proceed with this online account application. By clicking accept below and proceeding with the application you are providing 1st Financial Federal Credit Union with your consent to obtain the credit report.

E-sign Disclosure and Consent:

This disclosure documents your consent to conduct transactions electronically and to receive disclosures and notices relative to your accounts electronically.  The disclosure also describes your rights relative to conducting transactions electronically and to electronically receiving disclosures and notices, as well as the consequences of withdrawing your consent. We recommend you print and retain a copy of this disclosure and all the disclosures and agreements related to this transaction.

By applying for Credit Union membership and/or Credit Union services, you authorize us to send you, from time to time, and to the extent permitted by applicable law, electronic communications regarding the status of any share, share draft, and/or certificate account(s) you maintain with us. You also authorize us to send you electronic communications regarding any other accounts you may maintain with us from time to time including, but not limited to, loan accounts, credit line accounts, and credit card accounts. These electronic communications are sometimes referred to as “transactional or relationship messages.”

Upon your consent, you will be permitted to open accounts online. Without consent, accounts can be opened by other means, such as in person.

Prior to consenting, you understand that:

  1. You agree to provide us with the information needed to communicate with you electronically, such as your current email address, and update any changes with us by calling or writing us.
  2. Your consent applies only to disclosures and notices regarding your accounts. This includes your periodic account statements.
  3. You have the right to receive all required disclosures in paper or non-electronic form. Even after your consent, if you would like to receive a paper copy of the disclosure you have the right to obtain one for free by calling or writing us.
  4. You may withdraw your consent at any time by calling or writing us, should you decide you no longer want to receive information regarding your accounts electronically.

We reserve the right to provide any disclosures or notices in writing, rather than electronically. Except as otherwise provided in this or other agreements, by law, or on our website, you cannot give us notices electronically, and all notices from you must be in writing.
