1st Financial Federal Credit Union Recognized As Top Donator in Credit Unions For Kids Program
1st Financial Federal Credit Union located in St. Charles, Hazelwood, downtown St. Louis, and Wentzville was recently recognized as the leading donator in 2009 with the Credit Unions for Kids Program benefiting the Children's Miracle Network (CMN).
1st Financial spent much of 2009 raising money for CMN
through Credit Union for Kids by holding special events such as
several dress down days, raffles and by partnering with the
River City Rascals baseball team in O'Fallon, MO. Through these
efforts, 1st Financial was able to raise and donate nearly
$13,800 to CMN, making them the lead donating partner in the
Credit Unions for Kids program for the 2009 year.
Michelle Rosner, Vice President of Marketing at 1st Financial, recently said "While we are honored to be named the top credit union for funds raised to benefit CMN of St. Louis, the best reward is knowing that we continue the credit union mission of "people helping people" in the St. Louis area." She also added, "We are fortunate to have two outstanding hospitals for children and we hope that our efforts can help make a difference to the families in our community."
Credit unions have partnered with Children's Miracle Network since 1996, when the Credit Unions for Kids program was introduced nationwide. Today, credit unions across the United States collaborate with credit union chapters, leagues, trade organizations, publications, and business partners to raise much-needed funds to benefit 170 Children's Miracle Network hospitals. Since 1996, the Credit Unions for Kids program has generated more than $75 million for children's hospitals.
